Scene report

If you want to know what happened to me about a week ago, check out Daddy’s blog. And yep, it was totally as much fun as it sounds! :)

I know I owe some folks a few scene reports of my own and I promise I’ll get them up soon but not today. Today, I’m heading to a Bio-Family picnic and then spending the night with Daddy and Kimi. I’ll check back in tomorrow.

Where to go…

Wednesday afternoon my mother told me that her cleaning lady is coming on Friday and I had to clear out so she could work on my office and bedroom. I had planned to go to Sandy Hook (Gunnison Beach) but now it looks like it’s going to rain all day. I have basically no cash to spare so I can’t go shopping or to the salon or any of those girlie things. A museam might be cool but I don’t like wandering around places of great cultural significance alone. Any suggestions?

Eek – I'm famous!

Well, kinda… Daddy and Kimi called me on Skype last night to do a podcast for Power In Practice about training. This was actually our second attempt at this podcast. I wasn’t very happy with the way the first one came out so I requested (and was granted) a do-over. Overall, I think it went pretty well. My inner perfectionist is obsessing a bit about the casual nature of the program and my lack of clear diction but Soulhuntre assures me it’s fine. Would ya’ll mind stroking me a bit by getting the podcast from iTunes and verifing that it is indeed fine? A crazy girl would appreciate it. Thanks:)

Laser Hair Removal is NOT painless

That statement isn’t as obvious as it sounds. I went to my third appointment today (in a series of 4-6 sessions) fully prepared for a pain-free visit. Why? Because I paid an extra $60 for a 30g tube of Maxilene 5 so I wouldn’t feel a thing. Apparently, my skin isn’t super-absorbant so the 45 minutes I gave the miracle cream to work wasn’t enough time and I felt almost every single folicale fry as the laser worked its magic.

Next time (about 6 weeks from now) I plan to get to the office a full 90 minutes early so I can sit with the cream on for a full 60 minutes before the evil machine comes near me. Wish me luck!

Can too much introspection be a bad thing?

Yes! Especially ill-timed introspection rushed by upcoming deadlines. What am I babbling about? In general – I’m talking about mood swings, transient emotions and a good sense of timing. Specifically – I’m talking about my last post and the events that lead up to it. But wait, there’s more… Continue reading ‘Can too much introspection be a bad thing?’

I don't wanna go to sleep away camp

There are gonna be bugs and mice and bugs and racoons and bugs and no air-conditioning or heaters or room service or replacement towels or fresh linens or any of that hotel stuff. At least we’ll be in a cabin with cots, running water and screens on the windows instead of in tents. Continue reading ‘I don't wanna go to sleep away camp’

Scaredy Cat

Yep, it’s official – I spook real easy. Be it roaches, rats or a furry masked bandit with tiny hands … I just don’t want any part of the outdoors after dark. Call me crazy!

LiveJournal or WordPress

I created a LiveJournal account today. I plan to mostly ignore it and syndicate this feed to those users. We’ll see how that goes as it goes. The ‘friends’ feature on LJ is interesting. I can see the appeal now that I’m in there. But I will resist – I will remain true to my WP roots (even though we started on Blogger) and will not submit to the wild call of the LJ user.
