Time sure flies when you’re not paying attention! Tonight is my needle play class for DSF at Paddles in NYC. Click here for the full event description and details. I’m in a great mood, have 2 super-cute demo bottoms and a tentative play date after the class. Sadly my acupuncturist friend won’t be joining us this time. Even still, I’m planning to have a great time teaching folks how to safely poke holes in each other while having fun. If you’re in the area, you should drop by and say hello!

Looks like I’ll be giving my Needle Play class at DomSubFriends next month. Click here for the full event description and details. I wonder if the audience would mind if I showed up in a comfy t-shirt and jeans instead of kinky, fetish attire. <shrugs> Maybe the Goddess will have returned to me by then and I’ll feel like getting all dressed up. I suppose we shall see
Has it really been 4 months since my last update? Sheesh! All I can say in my defense is that I’ve been super chatty on twitter. You can follow me @tatsumi.
So, to wrap up the last 4 months…
- I stopped doing Freelance Graphic Design and started my own company with my girlfriend. Soulhuntre and Kimi are both super supportive - Yay poly!
- My very good friend and leather-uncle passed away. I miss him lots.
- My mom and I went to Disney World in November for a few days and I actually had a pretty good time at the park and with my family.
- I had a nice 35th birthday last month and good holidays considering all the stress that comes with them.
- I just got back from a short vacation in Arizona where I visited my grandparents and loved the warm weather.
- Shortly, girlfriend and I will head to Texas for the National Task Force’s Creating Change conference in Dallas.
- And I’m working my guts out trying to get this company off the ground. Given the current economic situation, we’re doing okay but not as well as we could/should be.
That’s about it! Look for another update in the summer. LOL!
I have 2 posts in draft stage, about Leather Retreat and TESFest, just waiting for me to finish them. I’ll get around to it eventually.
In the meantime, I thought you all would like to know that the formerly-nameless-LGBTQ-talent-agency has been named PhinLi Bookings, LLC. You should check them out on twitter @PhinLi.
This year, instead of going to Dark Odyssey Summer Samp in September, I’m going to attend Dark Odyssey Leather Retreat during the last week of June. I’m a little apprehensive about going by myself, but I’m also really excited! I don’t have any play dates or sex dates set up yet but I do have a line on some cuddle time and am looking forward to a private Cigar party with some great people. Plus I’m working a ton in registration so I’ll get to meet a lot of folks as they arrive – I’m sure I’ll be able to set something up if I feel like it
If you come to the site to read this blog, you’ll notice a few new things. Yesterday, I replaced the header image and added a new page. Today, thanks to Viviane’s Blogroll, I’ve updated my links list to point at the sites I think are worth a look.
Did you know that NYC’s 2009 LGBT Pride March is Sunday June 28, 2009? I think I might march this year. Anyone else plan to walk with TES?
Last month I finally bit the bullet and quit my day job. They had been making my life hell for over 20 months and at the prompting for my friends and family, I finally told them where they could shove it – in a very professional way, of course. Even still, it felt pretty good to be rid of them.
Now, I’m doing some freelancing, working on my physical self (diet & exercise) and enjoying being home with my zoo.
Today I’m heading to NYC for a quick meeting and then to a ‘pick-up-for-women’ seminar being hosted by a scene friend.
I’m hoping to get out more now that my work situation isn’t draining all of my energy. We’ll see! Anyone doing any fun scene stuff in the next few weeks?
While at a DFP play party this weekend, I was reminded by a new friend that I hadn’t updated my blog in ages. I have to admit that I’ve kinda been hiding out for the last few months. I could bemoan my existence and list all the whiny reasons, but I’d rather skip that and simply say I’m sorry. I’ll try not to keep you all in the dark just because I don’t feel like being social. Because really, once I start being social, I tend to have a lot of fun! Especially when I’m with people who understand that I’m a little crazy at times.
Case in point, I had a really great time at the party and will certainly be returning in the near future!
And just like that, it’s gone. A big thank you to Soulhuntre for doing the tech work required to make the move.
In other news, I’m thinking about checking out http://www.poly-nyc.com/pride.html this weekend. Any ever been? Planning to go this year? Wanna meet at the cuddle party on Friday night? <grins>
In just 13 short hours, I’ll be on the road to DOSC ’08. I hope it doesn’t rain and I don’t have any panic attacks. See ya’ll on the flip side!
